Domain Overview

The Domain Overview has been moved to the Sites page within smoxy, where you can now view all domains in one place. This allows you to quickly assess the status of your domains and ensure they are properly configured to work with smoxy.

What is the Domain Overview?

The Domain Overview provides an easy-to-read list of all the domains configured in smoxy. It shows the current status of each domain, helping you identify if any additional configuration is needed or if the domain is ready to go live with smoxy.

How to Access the Domain Overview

  1. Navigate to the Sites Page

  2. Click on the Domains Tab:

    • On the Sites page, click the Domains tab at the top. All domains within smoxy will be displayed immediately, along with their current status.

Domain States

Each domain in smoxy can be in one of three possible states. These states help you understand whether the domain is fully configured, if further setup is required, or if there is an issue that needs to be resolved:

  1. All Setup & Good:

    • This status indicates that the domain is fully configured and pointing to smoxy. SSL is active (if applicable), and no further action is needed.

    • Action: None. The domain is fully operational, and no further configuration steps are required.

  2. Continue Setup Steps:

    • This state means the domain has been added, but some setup steps are still pending. These might include missing CNAME records, SSL certificate generation, or the need to upload your own SSL certificate.

    • Action:

      • Missing CNAME Records: Ensure that the domain’s CNAME records are correctly set up with your registrar, pointing to smoxy’s infrastructure.

      • SSL Certificate Not Generated: If smoxy has not yet generated an SSL certificate, you may need to finalize any pending configuration steps for SSL activation.

      • Own SSL Certificate Not Uploaded: If you are using your own SSL certificate, make sure it has been uploaded to smoxy.

  3. No CNAME or IP Point to SMOXY:

    • This status indicates that the domain has been added, but its DNS settings are not yet correctly pointing to smoxy. Either the CNAME or A records have not been set up properly, meaning smoxy cannot handle traffic for this domain yet.

    • Action: Update the domain’s DNS settings with your registrar. Ensure that the domain’s CNAME or A records are correctly pointing to smoxy’s infrastructure as specified in your smoxy setup instructions.
